About WhatAGrowth

Better growth decisions start with better diagnosis.

Why WhatAGrowth exists

Growth teams rarely suffer from a lack of ideas.

There is always another channel to test, page to optimize, campaign to launch, tool to buy or tactic to try.

The harder problem is knowing:

  • What is actually holding growth back?
  • Which problem matters most?
  • What should happen next?

WhatAGrowth is being built around those questions.

Instead of starting with tactics, it starts with diagnosis.

The goal is simple:

Find what is holding back growth and help companies decide what to do next.

A better growth decision starts by confirming that the company is speaking to the right customer about a problem that actually matters. If that foundation is wrong, more investment in acquisition, content or conversion can simply scale the wrong message.

Our approach

Diagnosis before optimization.

WhatAGrowth follows a simple operating model:

  1. Data

  2. Diagnosis

  3. Priority

  4. Action

Start with evidence

Look at the available signals before forming conclusions.

Find the problem

Separate symptoms from the issues that are more likely to matter.

Establish priority

Not every weakness deserves equal attention.

Make the next decision clearer

A useful diagnostic should end with a practical next step, not just another list of observations.

This principle shapes both the software and the human work behind WhatAGrowth.

What we are not

Not another checklist generator.

A website can fail twenty best-practice checks and still have only two problems that really deserve attention.

WhatAGrowth is not being built to produce the longest report.
It is being built to produce a more useful decision.

That means combining structured diagnostic frameworks, available evidence and AI-assisted analysis while keeping the output focused on:

  • What we found
  • Why it matters
  • What deserves attention first
  • What you can do next

Software first, human when useful

Technology where it scales. Judgment where it matters.

Many parts of analysis can be made faster, more consistent and more accessible with software and AI.

But not every business problem can be reduced to a score.

Context matters.
Trade-offs matter.
Customer understanding, positioning and strategy often require judgment.

That is why WhatAGrowth is designed as a software-first platform with an expert layer available when additional context or discussion is useful.

You can use a diagnostic independently.
And when you need another perspective, you can ask for one.

Who’s behind WhatAGrowth

Built by a growth practitioner.

WhatAGrowth is founded by Fatih Yilmaz, a growth and digital marketing practitioner focused on understanding how companies attract, communicate with and convert customers.

The platform is being built with an AI-native way of working: combining hands-on growth judgment with AI-assisted research, analysis and software development. The aim is not to automate judgment away, but to make diagnosis faster, more structured and more repeatable.

The idea behind WhatAGrowth came from a recurring problem:

Companies often jump directly from “growth is not working” to “what tactic should we try?”

The missing step is diagnosis.

WhatAGrowth is an attempt to turn that step into a more structured, repeatable and increasingly software-driven process.

The platform combines practical growth thinking with AI, data and reusable diagnostic systems.

How I think about the work

I am less interested in producing more recommendations than in answering three questions well:

  • What is happening?
  • Why is it happening?
  • What deserves attention next?

That same thinking shapes WhatAGrowth.
